Educator. Trumbull Town Council D5. CT Parking Reform Co-founder. UConn alum. Personal account. Pro: homes, safe streets, utility regulation, hiking, local beer Anti: parking mandates, snob zoning, gestapo shit CT’s a beautiful place: let’s share it.

Just acquired: two tiny pamphlet printings of the preliminary and final Emancipation Proclamation, published in Boston in December 1862 and January 1863. Made to be distributed freely and to be carried south by Union soldiers and given, in particular, to formerly enslaved men who might enlist.

That’s the sound of every UConn fan pretending this story doesn’t exist
No money for USAID, no money for SNAP, no money for Medicaid, endless money for war and death Unconscionable bullshit

I’ve taught hundreds of young men in my career and I can count on one hand the young men who gave even a little shit about UFC
The clean, abundant energy revolution is unfolding around us and a reactionary anti-science movement is spending billions to set us back for generations It’s as if the Arthur administration had paid Edison massive sums *not* to electrify lower Manhattan in 1882
Most towns do some kind of civic reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th to mark the occasion and mimic the public readings that took place across the country in July/August 1776. I’d to see our towns do the same for the Emancipation on Juneteenth. www.archives.gov/exhibits/fea...
Lmao. You couldn’t do much better to describe the role utilities play in our system than a headline where the former Consumer Council will be cashing in as a Avangrid VP www.ctinsider.com/business/art...

Wildly credulous headline. Fazio’s “plan” is to cap property taxes while increasing education spending to municipalities annually. And even he admits he *might* raise $100 million by taxing hospitals/colleges. There’s literally no way to make this work! ctmirror.org/2026/06/17/f...

After attending UFC 250 on the White House lawn, UConn men’s basketball coach Dan Hurley says he’d love to see the Huskies play in a similar atmosphere.
President Trump’s UFC fight on Sunday appeared to offer everything a young American man could want: fighter-jets, pyrotechnics and Octagon girls. But would this masculine spectacle help young men to forgive and forget their growing disappointment with Trump?
Imagine what we could have done with 300 billion but instead we had to spend it on a payoff because someone’s attempt to distract from the Epstein files closed the strait of hormuz
