we fits, we sits
This Tube strike is just incomprehensible. Public sympathy will be at zero.
Rather a fun day leading a workshop for North East Early Music Forum based on last week's Ascension Vespers extravaganza - brilliant to see so many people enthused about lesser-known Monteverdi, and to staff it with everything from cornett to curtal to sackbut and most known varieties of recorder!
SE London might get noisy tonight!
Looking good for Wes.
We've had all the weather in Beckenham this morning, barring a tornado.
This morning's conundrum: is that the neighbours' drilling work or my daughter's bassoon practice?
There are many who will not mourn, but I've just finished my last rehearsal in Maida Vale 2, and I will really miss this place, with all its history and quirks and ghosts.
Super-excited for this on Saturday: an embarrassment of Venetian riches with @londiniumchoir.bsky.social, @ecse1610.bsky.social and Monteverdi String Band... absolutely wonderful music, especially the Selva morale 8-part Magnificat. Do come if you possibly can! www.londinium-voices.org.uk/events
