My pitch for Doctor Who:
1) ignore everything and just start with The Doctor and the TARDIS. Which Doctor is this? What happened with Billie Piper? Never answer.
2) Return to lower-budget 30-minute episodes in serialized stories with cliffhangers.
3) Cast relative unknowns.
