Bungie proved what not to do with a survival mode or a PVE mode for Marathon at all. This was the worst-case scenario, and it's pretty much a punishment with the nerfs. Along with the C.A.R.R.I event activating super early, that doesn't inspire any confidence whatsoever for Season 3.
