BA.3.2 is distinct from its ancestral BA.3 in many aspects. It acquires four new N-linked glycosylation sites in the N-terminal domain (NTD) and receptor-binding domain (RBD) of spike; disruption of which enhances viral infectivity and restores sensitivity to nAbs.
