Most important novel about the work of research, it dependence on and competition with other work—very timely in its discussion of who gets to do what work & under what conditions, but refreshingly non-presentist in consideration of the professional banishment of researchers from the 1920s/30s on🩵💙
Fantastic discussion between David Naimon and Lisa Robertson!!!

"Memory is fungal, conflict is weather, the brain is a mutinous landscape. When asked, 'How do you feel?' Renee responds, 'Like I need to stare up into the trees for a long time. That’s how I think.'" Cool to see Renee Gladman's MY LESBIAN NOVEL here. electricliterature.com/9-books-that...

i am embarrassed to be late in alerting people to this book’s stunning significance for political theology, critical secularism studies, and gender studies, queer theory, and transgender studies excellent, excellent and cannot recommend enough this text by @badinfinity2.bsky.social
Got an email from the university magazine sharing all their new stories. At least 8 of them were about using AI to do x. So, so embarrassing. We are the biggest university in the country, & one of the biggest in the world. We are doing a hell of a lot more than applying AI to this, that & the other.
Excited to read this in the fall!! www.upress.umn.edu/978151791850...

Doug Ford took out a full-page ad vilifying homeless people because he’s a horrible person and somehow an even worse premier. We know where the real danger lies in this province.
