The update in the months-long journey to figure out why my stomach hurts, I am now taking three new medications that all have to be taken at very specific times and I am failing miserably.
There were COMMENTS on my Gay Monsters piece this week and it actually did get me in my feelings. I really think we can do this together.
Ok I've finally started watching Widow's Bay and the problem is I want to write too many things about Widow's Bay.
Emily's introductory essay encapsulates so many of the conversations we've had over the last several months about what we believe blogs can do and what we want @darkertimes.bsky.social to do.
Even tho she jump-scared me with that Garden State pic.
I even got a giant pill box (4 slots per day!!) but it is very hard to take a pill "an hour before you eat" when meals do not just happen at a scheduled time!
And one of my "before bedtime" pills actually needs to be taken hours before bedtime if I don't want to be groggy for hours when I wake up.
I am taking pills at 5 different times each day. I've already changed a lot of my daily life around the stomach pain but it feels like I'm changing even more around the pills. (Which so far are only sort of working.)
I thought I had a couple decades before this was my life!

I mostly don't use Google anymore but when I do it's so great how it prioritizes Reddit but Reddit won't let you read the whole post without downloading the app. I hate how much all of these websites hate us.
This is a really special book, a mashup of urban horror and folk horror set during the AIDS crisis in Toronto. I wish I could go to this event!
