This is terrorism. Threatening a minority for existing in a public space should be an arrestable offence. Of course they just took a random photo of police and security conducting completely unrelated business in the shopping centre. Their behaviour here is intended to be intimidating/threatening.
I grew up under Section 28, the gag order that banned "the promotion of homosexuality in schools", i.e. discussing anything queer.
It was before the internet, so we had no one to talk to. I didn't know anyone else queer until I was 17, that I knew of, and still don't know of any from my school.
I'm in my 20s. I grew up with social media. Without that and video games, I would have been so completely isolated. We should be making the world safer for kids, not trying to ban them from it.
