The study demonstrates that interpreting error types in non-human animal studies is tractable, and can be used to illuminate neural systems otherwise ambiguous. Discover more 🔗 doi.org/10.1371/journal.pbio.3003768 #Neuroscience #DecisionMaking #fUSi
When ferrets 🐾 make mistakes, does the premotor cortex 🧠 know it? A new study by J. Boucher, S. Shamma and Y. Boubenec in @plosbiology.org uses functional ultrasound imaging to show that premotor cortex tracks the perceived stimulus, not the one reported by behavior. ⬇️
Had a great time presenting my first poster at #VSS2026! 👀🧠 Grateful for all the insightful discussions and feedback, and loved seeing many great talks and other posters. We introduced a new paradigm + computational model to study confidence updating during active sampling in decision-making. 💭
The team at SBDM! @ljubicajovanovic.bsky.social @eecasey.bsky.social @lotfiahmad.bsky.social @lsp-ens.bsky.social Looking forward to this excellent program
Really happy to have presented my first poster at #VSS2026! There were so many great posters and talks. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and heard me talking about Perceptual Confidence on Auditory-Induced Visual Position Biases. I hope to see you all next year with more great science :)
The latest research by Alain de Cheveigné from our lab is featured on the cover of the Journal of Neuroscience! https://www.jneurosci.org/content/46/7.cover-expansion
Congrats to Jun Yang for defending his PhD on “Visual detection of elementary image features during natural behaviour”. 🎉 Well done Dr Jun on this amazing accomplishment.🥳 -- Credits for the pictures to @mengtingj.bsky.social
How do frontal #brain regions guide #DecisionMaking in the context of perceptual & non-perceptual factors? A study in ferrets reveals that activity in the brain's #PremotorCortex tracks the perceived stimulus, not the one reported by behavior @lsp-ens.bsky.social @plosbiology.org 🧪 plos.io/4tv13IZ

Our follow-up study on the psycholinguistics of gender-fair language is finally out! This was a long journey, so here's a thread to explain what we did and what we discovered. The #openaccess article is here for those who want the full story: hal.science/hal-05607624 (1/10)
