Many thanks to Yue Rui and @josedinneny.bsky.social for generously involving us into this great story. Amazing appreciation of the work of @nikolajabel.bsky.social. Congratulations to all authors.
So happy and proud to share our lab’s first #plantscience research article, revealing that angiosperms have the capacity to encode memory of flooding stress.
A heroic effort by @aidamaric.bsky.social in collaboration with @djgibbs.bsky.social and others. A brief 🧵

Come join us to uncover epigenetic memory in trees 🎄 #plantscience
It's a special week of firsts. I never really imagined doing this until last year, but we also started our first field trial with a local farmer and consortium, supported by @mwk-bw.bsky.social 🌽🌾 Super exciting! #plantscience
Such a pleasure to host @christatesterink.bsky.social and @ronaldpierik.bsky.social in Freiburg this week! ✨ Beautiful talks, sunny weather, great discussions and plenty of time to catch up. Big thanks to @cibss.bsky.social for sponsoring their visit! 🎉 🌱
Now online! Plant cell wall-plasma membrane attachments mediate stress resilience through cellulose synthase complexes and remorins
Come to join us in beautiful Freiburg #PlantSciJob #Plantscience. 🌱

Excited to see our #plantscience review published in @jxbotany.bsky.social! It really captures our lab’s perspective on how plants use spatiotemporal signaling under environmental contexts when floods occur, to coordinate acclimation responses and achieve stress tolerance.

Check out this cool #plantscience work by @guofengzhang.bsky.social & @ottlab.bsky.social on symbiosome stabilization and the HUNTER tool 🌱

In plants, cell wall-plasma membrane attachments become evident upon severe water loss. These attachments depend on cellulose synthase complexes and remorins and mediate resilience under water stress.
Abstract. Flooding is a major abiotic stress that restricts terrestrial plant growth and survival. A plant tissue’s ability to avoid or sustain critical ox

New pre-print from the lab! We show that the subtilase SBT12a is essential for symbiosome stabilization in Medicago. Using HUNTER proteomics, we even got some of its substrates. Have a look.
