The original publication can be found at www.myrespectability.com Preface The question of mediator neutrality has been one of the most contested and generative conversations in our field for the better part of two decades. It began seriously with Bernie Mayer’s landmark 2004 work and has since been deepened by the behavioural turn literature, by scholars of genuine distinction, and by the honest frustrations of practitioners who have felt the gap between the ideal and the reality grow uncomfortably wide.
