While this story is linked to the main Trilogy WIP, it occurs on (a version of) Earth, long before said Trilogy begins. It is aimed to be readable as a standalone without any prior knowledge/reading.
Those who deal with the various Guild-owned buildings (warehouses, safehouses etc.) are given sufficient funds to both restock those places with shelf-stable emergency rations, and also for fresher supplies to feed themselves.
Caravans: it’s the Courier’s job to ensure everyone is properly fed. However, much of what they have are plain shelf-stable foods, and can be pretty boring. Foraging and hunting are strongly encouraged for variety/health/enjoyment, so everyone pitches in.

Food, glorious food!
The food situation depends on where you are and what position you’re in. A trader caravan in the middle of wild territory is a bit different from someone who is a member of Court.
Hey Mutuals!
I’m looking to find one or two more betas for my manuscript.
The Weight of Magic is a ~95k Dark Fantasy. Blurb and content warnings in the images/Alt text.
Note: I will prioritise people I know I can trust or have prior engagement with. Obvious bots or keyword hunters may be removed.
If ever there is a collection of Guild members within one static location (e.g. one of the rare gatherings at Guild HQ), food is a shared responsibility. In reality, it’s pretty typical for a few people to take charge of cooking a giant meal for everyone.
#WIPSnips - blade
Over his very long life, Alvath has discovered that a binding oath on Earth isn’t as impossible as most fae once thought. Only, for George and Alvath’s current situation, it may as well be.
#WIPSnips - no gripe, so grumble
George meets up with Will for the first time since his failed attempt to steal magic from Cù Sìth.
Court is very different. All those in Court (Guild members or otherwise) usually have very good food provided from them by the Court cook staff. Full access to all the delicacies of Fae is one of the big benefits of the job, though some prefer to find their own simpler fare.
