Apparently, an overripe watermelon will turn to liquid, and when you cut into it it opens with a bit of force, spewing sticky, red, watermelon guts with random chunks, like a sickeningly sweet waterfall from hell. All over the counter, floor and cabinets.

Terrible news I spilled two cups of Nước Chấm sauce EVERYWHERE all over my kitchen counter and it went under the appliances and in the nooks and crannies and there’s little bits of garlic and sambal oelek in everything and it’s all sticky and the whole place stinks of fish sauce.
