The even lovelier thing is that my wife dreamt of him earlier in the week for the first time too. Yes, of course there is sadness but the fleeting joy of ‘seeing’ him is lovely and that he was smiling and laughing is emotionally reassuring, no matter how real or not. It’s given me a real lift today.

It’s been almost 13 yrs since our son died, aged 4. I’ve sometimes dreamt about him but never of him. Last night, it finally happened. I’ve dreaded it but it was beautiful. I could hear his voice & he had a beaming smile. I’m with his brother & sister today. A lovely Father’s Day already.
