#strigoisunday Carmilla is a 1872 novella by J. Sheridan Le Fanu. A vampiress that preys on young women changes her name (to Millarca or Mircalla) to avoid detection after kills. With strong lesbian overtones, it predates Dracula by 25 years. Adapted dozens of times, seen here as The Vampire Lovers
