School’s out, welcome summmah! We had some of our neighbors over last night so we could meet more of them, and that was fun. Getting ready for my folks to visit next week, doing some writing, and chilling out like one can only do when your kids’ summer vacation comes.

These are our grapes. The prior owners of our house were vintners, and had some of their crop right here in our backyard. But…we don’t make wine and I’d love to put in some fruit trees and vegetable plants at some point. So I need to figure out what to do with them. I may keep some and donate some.

I swear autocorrect is trying to sabotage me for the 1,000th time. I’m typing an email to my child’s beloved teacher and my closing of “Thanks so much!” comes out as “Thanks, douche”. I caught it, but what in the owl’s hoot?! And here I am trying to write beautiful books for sweet little children!
