From 2007-2016 the average number of new purpose built rental units across BC was ~2,500 per year. In 2025 it was 26,000! 🎉 Asking rents are going down ⬇️ Vacancy rates are going up, creating more choice for renters ⬆️ We’re delivering #HomesForPeople, in communities they love. ❤️ #BCPoli

Across BC, renters are starting to see real relief:  • Asking rents are down 12.5% from 2023  • Vacancy rates are rising  • More options for renters, including ability to negotiate their rent • 26,000+ purpose-built rentals registered in 2025  Progress is underway, with more to do.
