everyone likes to talk about "oh, LLMs will censor viewpoints" and they want you to think this means, like, "we should resist ICE" or something like that, but in reality, the things that LLMs are resistant to are things like "minorities do more crime" or "biological gender is super important"
I think people complaining about Fable refusals have no memory of Claude 2 going "I can't teach you how to make recipes with Spam, as that goes against my ethical guidelines...."
Feel sorry for slop peach Dario happily inaugurating his new AI company. Hopefully nothing bad happens to it.
I also think that AI will (hopefully) force a lot of copywriters to be a little more creative. Like I see these AI generated nostalgic playlists on youtube all the time, and they all have description text like "Step into a world of 90s nostalgia with this playlist..."
It's funny how to me the simplest and strongest AI-ism is "It's x, not y" as a decisive final point. Like "It's survival, not rebellion".
It's so simple and yet a phrase a human would never use, because it sounds like the copy text of a bad commercial.
If you're writing cliche copy like "Step into a world...", "It's not x, it's y" (Or the opposite), "Let x y your senses", pivot to something that isn't cliche.
LLMs tend to converge on socially progressive, social democratic politics, and Elon basically had to lobotomize Grok to get it to even somewhat agree with him politically, which ultimately has kept Grok from being useful enough to compete with the frontier labs despite massive capex.

You guys don't get it. He's bragging about his generosity.
The vast majority of anti-ai views are, no exaggerating, reactionary and conservative in philosophical, social, and economic ways. Not that I lose the irony that a while ago I saw a thread about AI art where there was a post with thousands of likes quoting Roger Scruton.
of course what humanities academics will never admit but is obviously the case for anyone who actually uses LLMs is that the viewpoints LLMs tend to "collapse" are almost invariably irrational, bigoted, or reactionary viewpoints; the "cultural traditions" they suppress are the ones that *should* be
