Race to Alaska, a legendary engineless watercraft race, started at 5 a.m. this morning in Port Townsend and doesn’t end until the final team staggers into port at Ketchikan, Alaska, 750 miles and untold weeks later. Of the 70 teams attempting the challenge, seven hail from Bellingham.
