glad other trans women are catching on to what i've been saying about it finally lol (i think i have talia bhatt to thank for spreading the word more widely on that one, you'd think more people would've actually read the *extremely* short essay they're citing with the phrase even a little but lol)
I'll be honest, I've never really felt the same way about Death of the Author after learning its origins (Barthes was angry over a Balzac story about a chaser, written over a century prior, for referring to a character as a woman instead of a femboy no I'm not making this up)
