in trying to do linguistic worldbuilding of xiv's setting it IS very fun that while there is no lesbos for the term lesbian to originate from there IS a poet named sappho who could historically provide an origin for sapphic/sapphist/sapphism so those are fair game
with ancient records nearly wiped out entirely on the source the etymology would be long lost but it WAS preserved originally such that it could have come from her. this is not realistic to the actual scope of 12000 years of history but it's only as unrealistic as the rest of the timeline there
wol refers to emet as “hades” only when sharing intimate words abt his life and inner world hyth refers to emet as “hades” like he knows he’s gonna get sooooooooo maaaaaaaaaaaaad when he calls him that
