If our health care is better than the 1990s we can’t complain even if we’re paying more and dying more than people in other countries and getting sick all the time from repeated mass infection by a novel vascular disease 👍

This reality is often invisible to us because the line mostly only goes up. We don’t notice all the material standards that are improving because they appear and then do not vanish. But for our time traveler everything from the cars to the food to the health care would get sharply, shockingly worse.
