"One of the great journalists of our time at a venerable institution for investigative journalism... Joe Patrice at Above the Law" -- Judge William Pryor (Somehow I think he might’ve not meant that earnestly)

Congress keeps trying to turn judicial impeachments into "high crimes" and they really don't have to.
In the superseding indictment in the SPLC case the DOJ hilariously describes informants who wanted to leave hate groups being paid to stay in as proof SPLC propped up hate groups when it ACTUALLY confirms the people getting paid were legitimate moles who had a genuine fear for their safety
People are making fun of this as a bad lawyer answer, but… this actually seems like an accurate description of the Trump argument. Like… the only way for this ballroom to work is if you accept that he can tear down every monument
I’m assuming the official conclusion will be because they were vaxxed
Everyone’s talking about the propriety of fighting a random guy, but the real crime here is how he parks his truck.
I mean. It is possible that they’re just stupid. But the DOJ’s new “gotcha” indictment against the Southern Poverty Law Center manages to make the SPLC’s defense… stronger?
I, for one, appreciate that he’s taking his demonstrated meme stock potential and decided to see how far it goes.
