I used to be a radio operator with the only full British squadron of 22,500l aviation fuel transporters in mainland Europe. Now, when I think about defence, I think about who is defending our drinking water & who is defending the air we breathe?
Now I'm older, ALL of the above are important to me.
We need to make sure that were looking at defence to also include cyber security, threats to nature and the climate crisis and our resilience towards both pandemics and terrorist attacks.
Most of all we need a clear and consistent plan.
