My 17-year old daughter's assessment of podcasts is that they're just "middle-aged men trying to make each other laugh".
Seems spot on.
I'll stick with Radio 4, where at least they still have editors (for now) and are time-limited by the daily schedule.

In my firm but fair regime, all podcasts will have to be licensed to control the supply of podcasts and prevent the ever-growing glut of podcasts. All existing podcasts will have to apply for a licence to continue. There is no guarantee your podcast will receive a licence and there will be no appeal
