Reminds me of policies that mandate helmet use for cyclists. Rather than addressing root causes of danger—reducing vehicle speeds, imposing stricter penalties for speeding& failing to yield@ crosswalks, or investing in safer, greener cycling infrastructure—policymakers resort to tokenistic measures.
