ok I have learned that people don't think this counts as a remake. they just want to watch a movie where someone says the n-word. makes me think they missed the very not subtle 'racists are dumb motherfuckers' message of the original.

people literally remade Blazing Saddles as an animated children's movie in 2022. it was released into theaters. it took me until the fart scene to realize.
