"it's obviously just power tripping" maybe! but I need you to understand the history of what artists worked with for DECADES to make this feel like a surreal maelstrom of mindfuck and personal insult. caught up on Saladin Ahmed’s Daredevil, and unfortunately it‘s a meandering bafflingly paced mess that ends with a whimper. but there are strong moments scattered throughout, in particular I liked how Ahmed wrote fight scenes that actually incorporate Daredevil’s blindness and exceptional hearing
on one hand the editor in chief at marvel is a white man who pretended to be Japanese in order to write weeb comics and never saw any consequences, but on the other hand he’s completely demolished any trust readers had by cancelling nearly every comic after 6-10 issues before they can blossom, so
