Respect the classics
In case you wondered, no, it never got old yelling "KNICKS IN 4!!!!" at every runner in the Fairfield Half Marathon wearing Knicks gear. If anything, me and the scouts running a water station got more into it with every runner that passed.
The Hot Topic I worked at would play “Fernando” at least once a shift and I can still picture all the employees singing and dancing while the teenage customers froze trying to decide if it’s ok to be joyful
In my years of covering sports I saw ten lifetimes of amazing events in person. Maybe twenty. But I find myself insanely jealous of anyone who will be inside MSG for Games 3 and 4. That atmosphere is going to be unreal.

If you were drafting the most awkward possible pairings of celebrities to own a bar together in 2026, it would be hard to top this duo
It was not a particularly suspenseful election night in Texas, but that just gave Christine Zhang and Zach Levitt time to cook this up for @shanegoldmacher.bsky.social's takeaways file: www.nytimes.com/2026/05/26/u...
