When the US government no longer lists some religions, I'm curious! Does the policy merely simplify paperwork, or does it materially disadvantage certain faith groups (or nonreligious service members) compared with others?

The Pentagon cut its recognized faith list from 211 to 31. Pagans, Wiccans, Humanists, and Druids... gone. This is what religious erasure looks like in uniform.
