Doesn't it look lovely the plans for Clontarf Village on Vernon Avenue. Designs will be online 10th June and on Public display 25th June 3-7pm in Clontarf GAA Club. Have been advocating for this since late 90's. The community took part in workshops to feed into this plan.
Plan to traffic calm Clontarf Village with car-free public space welcomed
Local area councillors were briefed today by Dublin City Council officials on a long-awaited plan to add traffic-calming to Vernon Avenue, including a less car-dominated space at Clontarf Village....
This is such an important petition- the arts, humanities and social sciences are vital not just as fields of research and study but for the good of society. That research needs proper and consistent funding
Green Party Councillor Donna Cooney said on Friday. “It’s coming from our awareness of a lack of cultural space in the area.”
Clongriffin might be ideal for the northeast’s new arts centre, said Cooney.
“We’re talking about the population increasing greater than anywhere... as large as Drogheda.”
The one tier system & removing private practice from publicly funded hospitals was a major part of the Our Maternity Hospital Campaign of which I was a founder member and PRO. The public system needs to improve and consultants need to focus on equality of care.

Local area councillors were briefed today by Dublin City Council officials on a long-awaited plan to add traffic-calming to Vernon Avenue, including a less car-dominated space at Clontarf Village. The project will include traffic calming on Vernon Avenue between Seafield Road and the Clontarf Road, with filtered permeability making the area between Clontarf Park and the Clontarf Road car-free. This car-free area will provide an improved public space around the shops in the village.
