The fact that SixTones is pronounced "stones" outrages me in the same way as random readings shoehorned onto kanji, like the student I once had whose kanji was 月 but her name was Luna. No. You're not allowed to do this, Japanese. Stop doing this.
In what I have to assume is a BL first, true love is saved by hitting a bear on the nose with a well-aimed rock. #AmTranslating
obsessed with this extensive and bizarre list of collective nouns on wiktionary. love that it starts with a warning not to use them
Where did all these books come from? How do I have so many of them??
But at least I am discovering forgotten treasures from the backs of the shelves, like Clamp's Rg Veda. Can't wait to read that one again.
Possibly in an attempt to procrastinate on my deadlines, I decided I needed to reorganize my bookshelves, and now my living room is made up of shifting sand dunes of books. Some get shelved in new positions, others find their way out of the shelves onto the floor. The reorganization may never end.
I love BL bc the answer to back cover blurb questions like "Will they be able to overcome [obstacles] and find happiness together??" is always "Of course, yes! And they will express that happiness in really dirty ways for a third of the book!"
Whenever I hear the word 片頭痛 (migraine), I picture the kanji 変頭痛 (weird headache), which somehow makes more sense to me. Like yes, a migraine *is* a weird headache.
There just keep being more books that need places.
Do people understand how important this manga is to the history of yaoi
Without this and Saint Seiya our gay makeout reserves would be dangerously depleted
