I wanna stop defending the Catholic church, but this castlevania discourse has me almost certain people
A. Do not remember how the games were like.
B. More importantly, what bad things the church did in real life.
Like people will bring up Salem as the Cath. Church's doing. Like, huh???????
For clarification also:
A great deal of this is also in regards to the conflating of "Christian = Catholic".
The church in the castlevania games is usually the eastern orthodox- because they are set in eastern Europe. But people hear "The church" and assume Catholic.
