Anyway, they classified the flight as a “weather cancellation” in spite of what we were told by staff and in spite of flights after us successfully making it to the same destination last night, which means Alaska Airlines didn’t have to give hotel vouchers to any of the people they stranded.
Turns out Instagram is good for this too, but also good lord, this shit is so broken that crapping about them on social media got me an instant response, while I couldn’t get through to anyone by calling their hotline to try and rebook.
One of the things I genuinely miss about Twitter was the way you could tell brands like Alaska Airlines that they’re pieces of shit. My flight just got canceled in part because it was so delayed the flight crew gave up, and then lied to us as they were leaving the plane saying “we’ll be right back”
