“Underpaid” and “under supported” are not the same as low-skill; low-skill is a framing used to KEEP carers underpaid and under supported because it’s work that is “supposed” to done for “free” in the patriarchy by women (typically). Men who do it are punished with even less social support.

I am going to continue to push back on "high skill migration" even if I am the last dead ender. The UK has a much more pressing shortage of low-skill labour than high-skill labour. We have people giving up jobs as magic circle lawyers to take care of their parents.
