The internet is a silly place
Not exactly the same thing but it's up there with telling people how terrible a newspaper is while linking to the newspaper so they can give it more traffic and engagement.
Fun Bluesky genre: posting on this website that people should get off the other website because you can't post on that website and tell them directly (hypocrisy!) but you have to post SOMETHING and here the audience is receptive because most of us are already off the other website.
