I feel better knowing it wasn't just me. My workshop sat in limbo then just disappeared from the website without a word.
I was really looking forward to seeing what other seminar/panels/etc. there would be, but it was slim pickings and by several accounts pretty sub par. Such a missed opportunity.
I have to agree with @thebadspot.bsky.social on the seminars issue. I was informed four weeks before UKGE that my proposed talk wouldn't be running because there wasn't space for it. And I genuinely love talking about my research to audiences at cons - the interactions and questions are always great
