We should be even more realistic and ask all those handsome ex generals on TV who make dark and dangerous noises about Russian invasions about what their current job is and why it's a giant defense contractor that wants to sell deathmachines at ludicrous prices

We should be realistic that when ex chiefs languidly demand more billions on the airwaves, it is not them who will bear the brunt of the public anger to the inevitable wave of brutal cuts to fund them.
