The other odd thing is the actual result of the election may be obvious from months out, and yet it’ll likely be unbelievably nasty, particularly in regional areas.
The next Australian federal election looks like it’s going to be… very odd. Two almost totally disconnected contests - one in the city between the ALP, Greens, Liberals and Teals and an entirely separate one in the country between Nationals and One Nation.
Covering that is going to be… challenging.

Takes 145 years to build and you have to invent new brick attaching techniques as you go because the instructions as written aren't possible to complete using existing technology.

Obviously we’re less than halfway through the election cycle and a lot will change but yeah whatever happens it’s likely to be odd.
Towns and regional centres tearing themselves to shreds over who gets to come second in a federal election. Very weird.
