Very pleased the @who.int Programme Managers guide for control of scabies in low income settings now out.
In many areas population prevalence of scabies is 10-30% making it a major public health problem.
This guide is designed to assist Ministries of Health & NTD teams in scaling up interventions.
Special shout-out to Bridget Freyne @ucddublin.bsky.social (not on Bluesky) who is the CI for the trial & has done a large amount of the leg work getting this off the ground.
Congratulations to @suhealthsci.bsky.social & Tygerberg Hospital for recruiting 1st patient into our trial of new therapies for infants with congenital syphilis!
Huge effort across Ireland, UK, Malawi, South Africa, Indonesia, Thailand & Australia to get this off the ground.
