Yes and that’s bad. A fire *is not* a fire. The risk profile of house burning due to some electrical malfunction is fundamentally different than a house burning due to its geographical position in areas increasingly prone to fires.

Ultimately what we need is 1. FAIR plan/ Prop 103 reform to shield insurance markets from unsustainable liability and 2. Accept the market correction to home values wildfires will force is inevitable.
