Concerningly: Nearly half of H5N1 data from 🇺🇸 lacks information about when & where the sample was collected! For ~3000 virus genomes submitted in 2025, there is no state information and no day (only year) of collection (up a lot from 2024) 😩. This makes tracking transmission very challenging.
