I’m very excited to share that tomorrow at 5pm BST @e-cen.bsky.social will be joined by Dr Rowan Boyson who will be sharing some of her recent work on air & atmosphere 💨 in her paper, “‘Who owns the wind?’: Air, commons and poetics in the long eighteenth century” Join us in person and online!
Thank you to all who made it such a fantastic, supportive event!
Acting as one of the PGR Officers for BARS has been one of the most rewarding and valuable experiences of my PhD journey. If you’ve been thinking of applying, this is your sign! ✨
This is how I want every commute to my desk to be 🌱 🌞
Because Wye not?
What a delight it was to share my research with the @hrcyork.bsky.social community last week. And what an honour to represent @uoyenglishrl.bsky.social and be awarded first prize for my presentation, "Cloudland: Affect, Agency, and Environment in Romantic-Period Poetry and Painting".
www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/... I listened to this earlier on and found it highly inspiring. It reminded me why I chose the humanities in the first place, all the way back during my GCSES. And also why I will never close the door on STEM. Elif Shafak’s words were particularly moving.
