I asked folks to photoshop my cat as a diver and by god they didn't disappoint
A little late posting but there's a new @booksireland.bsky.social article up: my interview with @thatstephendaly.bsky.social
We chatted about his debut novel The Last Death Poet (@rocktheboatnews.bsky.social), all things Belfast, and the importance of humour in Irish YA
This is the end-of-year project of the Booked Up Programme, where our lovely group of teens created short stories, poetry, artwork, and photography. We also had a group of teen editors who helped put the entire journal together.
This journal and the entire Booked Up programme is only possible thanks to the @dlrarts.bsky.social who supported every step of this initiative through my writing residency with them.
It's heeeeeeerrrreeee
Yesterday I got a very special delivery to the office: the From The Heart literary journal made by the teenagers of Ireland.
Design by the delightful @alnolan.bsky.social
I'm so very proud of them, they've done incredible work and I can't wait to share it with yee all at the official launch on Thurs June 25th at 6pm. Tickets are available below: attendance is free but booking is essential.
