We are sampling pure and mixed stands of Scots pine and Maritime pine (P. pinaster), and later also Scots pine and beech (Fagus sylvatica) mixtures, to evaluate how host species, stand composition, and host phylogenetic distance influence fungal communities associated with trunk tissues.
