Some simply feel like moving on as the market has changed drastically over the past decade into something they no longer want to be part of. Things change. People make decisions for themselves. Yes over the past decade there’s been terrible layoffs, but that’s not always 100% the situation.
A lot of employees, and studios have been going for so long, some feel stuck in a creative rut and decide to call it quits because that’s better than wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars on a game they don’t have any heart in.
One thing that’s driving me up a fucking wall right now is any bit of gaming industry news about “lay offs” or studio “shutdowns” is that no one but the studio and parent company know the context. Some studios have short goals and are content with closing after reaching such goals.
I keep playing around with the colors on this Obsession drawing because I just feel like it’s better if you can barely see her
