With March data in, year over year change in travel to the US has been mostly stable. Curious to see where this goes, but for now this is consistent with changes in travel patterns to the US after the 51st state crazy-talk being here to stay.

February data just came in and now we can see how durable these declines are. February 2025 is when we saw the first big drops in travel patterns, did this persist year over year or are we reverting back? The data shows a (small) further decline in Canadians travelling to the US. So far.

September data was released today. The drop in absolute number of travellers is a bit lower than in the (higher volume) summer months, but year over year percentage change drop held fairly steady.

July data came in today, further drop in border crossings by Canadian residents driven by tourists (overnight visitors).

Land border crossing data for June is out today, still a large drop of Canadians crossing the border compared to a year ago, but momentum appears to be stabilizing. Or maybe even coming back a bit.
