I love this idea. After my grandparents died, my mom lived at their house in Las Vegas for a while and converted the lawn from green grass to desert landscaping. It looked so much nicer, and it saved a lot in water bills. Funny how the MAHA isn't demanding natural landscaping.

Here’s my idea — instead of trying to get rid of the algae, embrace it. Wetland restoration on the whole thing. Reeds and muck and red-winged blackbirds. A monument to the city’s ecological past.
