Recent paper from Guo et al. in Optics express. They developed a portable aquatic #microplastic detection system using holographic polarimetric imaging. This provides a viable technical solution for portable, real-time environmental monitoring systems.

Recent study by Wei et al. in The Analyst. They developed a near-infrared biothiol fluorescent probe to visualise the effects of nanoplastic-metal ion co-exposure stress in zebrafish.
pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/42084039/
Recent paper by Sabaeian, Khorramnazari, and Zarei in Optics express. They developed a novel hyperspectral imaging framework for the label-free detection and quantitative assessment of #microplastic particles in soil.

Recent paper by Park and Shin in Food and Chemical Toxicology. They used human buccal epithelial cells to model the oral epithelium. They saw that exposure of cells to polystyrene #nanoplastics significantly reduced epithelial barrier function.
