Not only was Rob an exceptional scholar, he was a dear friend of mine for the last 30 years. We shared accommodations at the Asilomar ENC’s and attended the Stan Rogers Folk Festival together. He was a fun person to spend time with, always full of laughs. I am heartbroken at his passing.
